Where Expectational Puppies Are Born!

2nd Generation "Great Bernese"

Great Bernese
We are thrilled to have "Great Bernese" puppies from our pair of 1st generation "Great Bernese" dogs. See Litter pics by clicking on Links above, in the right corner.

They are a cross between the AKC Great Pyrenees and the AKC Bernese Mountain Dog. The results of this crossing are expectational puppies that are the best of both of these Gentle Giants. The "Great Bernese" dogs do not wander like the Great Pyrenees and have a much longer lifespan than the Bernese Mountain Dog. Our puppies are from breeding our two 1st generation Great Bernese Dogs, to produce a rare 2nd generation litter of puppies with a wide variation of colors, and great traits.
New Litter 11/1/24
Groot and Gertie surprised us with a Fall Litter. They were born on November 1st.

Total of 10 puppies! There are 6 girls and 4 boys. We are posting weekly pictures of them. See pictures by clicking on Puppies above on the right side of the header.

They will be ready for new homes around Dec. 13th. Lots of variation with this litter, all very nice looking! This litter is going to be a blast!!

Prices range from $1,500 to $2,000 depending on their confirmation and color balance. We paid more than that for our pair, traveling the county to pick them out. From our prior experience we knew what traits we wanted.

About Freya

1st Litter Female

From Peter: I have been blessed with Freya! She is a perfect, curious, goofy, and very smart pup. Frey has grown fast to be the best hiking, adventure, and napping buddy. Amazing with dogs and kids of all ages. Having to do very little potty training made the transition that much smoother. I could not recommend these Great Bernese more! . . . (Peter has created Freya her own Instagram page @ "Life of Freya")

About Drifter

1st Litter Male

From Regina: Our puppy was easy from day one. Drifter is personable, loves snuggles and play time. Unusual with usual Pyrenees, he does respond when called and knows the basic commands. He only barks when there is a real need, instead of just barking at everything. This is the easiest puppy we have ever raised. He had very few accidents. Though he may take a left shoe outside, he's never chewed them. He's also great with cats, loves to play with dogs and great with livestock.

Groot

Sire

Groot is our gentle giant. He is such a sweetheart. He is a loving one family dog, weighing in at 135 lbs. We love his huge bear looking head. This is a trait we want to pass on to the next generation of Great Bernese dogs, through his puppies. He was brought in from breeders in Arkansas.

Ursa

Groots' Dam

Ursa, Groots dam lives on a farm with breeders in Arkansas. She is a AKC registered pure breed Bernese Mountain Dog. We just fell in love with her big muzzle and disposition. She is a big girl, and passed her bear looking head and confirmation to Groot!

Ranger

Groots' Sire

Ranger, Groots sire is on that same farm in Arkansas with Ursa. He is a AKC registered pure breed Great Pyrenes. He is such a sweet laid back boy, with a broad head and great confirmation. This cross gave us an awesome boy indeed.

Gertie

Dam

Gertie is such an awesome mother. She is also such a sweetheart. She loves company and attention. She weighs in around 110 lbs, with the color that is giving us such a nice variety of colors in the puppies that these two are producing. She was brought in from breeders in Indiana.

Castle

Gerties' Sire

Castle, Gerties sire lives on a goat farm with breeders in Indiana. They have a history of breeding very nice 1st generation Great Bernese dogs. He is a AKC registered pure breed Bernese Mountain Dog. He has such a calm dispostion. He passed on Gerties exceptional coloring.

CJ

Gerties' Dam

CJ, Gerties dam lives on the same goat farm with Castle in Indiana. They have a history of breeding exceptional 1st generation Great Bernese dogs. She is a AKC registered pure breed Great Pyrenees. Gertie came from her first litter, and like her mom, is herself a calm, caring mother.
