Where Expectational Puppies Are Born!

2nd Generation "Great Bernese" F2

Great Bernese
We are thrilled to have "Great Bernese" puppies from our pair of 1st generation "Great Bernese" dogs. See Litter pics by clicking on Links above, in the right corner.

1st Generation Great Bernese are a cross between the AKC Great Pyrenees and the AKC Bernese Mountain Dog. The reason for this crossing is expectational dogs that are the best of both of these Gentle Giants. The "Great Bernese" dogs tend not to wander like the Great Pyrenees and can have a longer lifespan than the Bernese Mountain Dog.

Our puppies are from breeding our two 1st generation Great Bernese Dogs, to produce a rare 2nd generation F2 litter of puppies with a variation of colors, and the traits we are looking to establish in this breed for future generations.

About Freya

From Peter:

I have been blessed with Freya! She is a perfect, curious, goofy, and very smart pup. Frey has grown fast to be the best hiking, adventure, and napping buddy. Amazing with dogs and kids of all ages. Having to do very little potty training made the transition that much smoother. I could not recommend these Great Bernese more! . . . (Peter has created Freya her own Instagram page @ "life.Of.freya")

About Fiona

From Alex:

I got Fiona back in June and she is awesome! She weighed around 18 lbs and now she is 75 lbs. She is a total spaz at times and I love it. She is a great puppy and was from the beginning with a beautiful coat on her with nice black, brown and tan colors around her face, that become more pronounced as she becomes an adult. She’s not without the typical puppy things. I deal with the occasional missing sock but she is a quick learner with basic commands. I’ve never had to leash her on my property. She has wondered over to the neighbors occasionally when she was younger but as she gets older, she is even more fantastic off leash and the way she patrols the property and the house, she understands this is her home. She keeps an eye on things while I’m at work and, while I’m home, keeps me well informed of intruders or strange sounds outside. She is great with others and other dogs. I couldn’t be happier with her and her progress. Brenda and her husband are great people and I’m certain nobody will be disappointed with this breed.

About Stella

From Kim:

Stella joined our family in mid-June and I fell in love with her immediately! She was already potty trained, which was wonderful! She loves being outdoors; digging holes, chewing sticks, and playing in the snow. She keeps me company when I’m doing yard work, shoveling snow, or just enjoying the fresh air. Stella is a snuggler and loves to lay on everyone, including our cat! She’s over eighty pounds now, and still growing! She is very vocal (and argumentative!) and smart. She quickly learned how to sit and shake hands, lay down and stay, but is typically stubborn when it’s time to come inside. We’re working on it with her favorite treats of carrots and plain popcorn. Stella is our first Great Bernese; I highly recommend this breed. Brenda and Pat did a great job pairing Groot and Gertie, and getting their pups off to a great start!

About Drifter

From Regina:

Our puppy was easy from day one. Drifter is personable, loves snuggles and play time. Unusual with usual Pyrenees, he does respond when called and knows the basic commands. He only barks when there is a real need, instead of just barking at everything. This is the easiest puppy we have ever raised. He had very few accidents. Though he may take a left shoe outside, he's never chewed them. He's also great with cats, loves to play with dogs and great with livestock.

About Hugo

From Michelle:

Our Great Bernese Hugo is just the sweetest. We got him for our family for Christmas and he has the sweetest disposition and almost already potty trained at 7 weeks! Brenda did a wonderful job with this litter and we can tell Hugo will be an amazing family dog. This mix is so wonderful! You get all the amazing benefits of a Berner but the added longer lifespan of a Pyrenees. We are so excited to pair Hugo with our purebred Berner and give them a fun life together. Thank you, Brenda!

About Barnabus

From Hannah:

We had such a wonderful experience when buying our puppy from Brenda and her husband. I was able to visit my chosen puppy, and Brenda also sent pictures and videos every couple days leading up to us bringing him home. Any questions I had were promptly answered, and if I still have any questions I am able to get in touch right away. Overall, I couldn't have found anyone better to buy my puppy from. We are very happy!

About Remy

From Lindsey:

Remy has been a wonderful addition to our family. She is incredibly sweet and gentle with children. She is eager to please which makes training easy. And she’s a snuggler! Remy is especially bonded to our daughter and does an adorable sideways wiggle every time she sees her.
